Bloodhound
The Bloodhound possesses every point and characteristic of those dogs which hunt together by scent. His expression is noble and dignified, and is characterized by solemnity, wisdom and strength. He is very powerful and stands over more ground than is usual with hounds of other breeds. The skin is thin to the touch and extremely loose, this being more noticeable about the head and neck where it hangs in deep folds. The Bloodhound is one of the most docile of all breeds. His trailing is more for his own sport than for anything else. Unlike the police-trained dog, he does not attack the man he is trailing. The Bloodhound's task ends once he has followed the trail to its termination.
